Amadeus reported GDS bookings in the first quarter totaled 121.8 million, a 32.8% increase from a year earlier but still approximately 25% shy of booking levels in the first quarter of 2019.

"Air traffic improved globally, both domestic and international, albeit at different paces," according to Amadeus president and CEO Luis Maroto. He noted that the Asia-Pacific region recovered "particularly well," with year-over-year booking growth of about 150%.

Amadeus reported air distribution revenue of 678.9 million euros for the first quarter, up 52.2% year over year.

Besides higher booking, revenue also benefited from a 14.6% year-over-year increase in revenue per booking.
Amadeus reported a profit of 273.1 million euros for the first quarter, up from 95 million euros in the first quarter of 2022.
