SAN JUAN -- ASTA is getting ready to publish a list of suppliers that pay travel advisors commission in a timely manner, CEO Zane Kerby said Wednesday during the ASTA Global Convention here.

Kerby spoke at a press conference following a meeting of the Society's consortium committee, which endorsed the following verbiage to be published with the list: "We recognize these suppliers for timeliness of commission payments within 30 days of final payment and encourage all suppliers to adopt this practice."

According to Kerby, ASTA is hoping to encourage more suppliers to pay advisors' commissions faster.

The full list is forthcoming. ASTA is currently preparing it while making sure it is "comprehensive," Kerby said.

"We want to highlight this good supplier behavior," he said.
