No timeline for completion was announced, but the station would connect South Florida to Orlando's largest attraction, including Disney's four theme parks, two water parks and more than 25 hotels, they said.

The station concept includes a lobby on the ground level, passenger facilities and an upper-level train platform.

"We're excited to work with Brightline as they pursue the potential development of a train station at Walt Disney World Resort," said Jeff Vahle, president of Walt Disney World Resort.

The station would also connect to Orlando Airport, where the Brightline has said it expects to open a station by 2022.
