Cunard Line has named Katie McAlister the next president of the British luxury line.

McAlister comes to Cunard from vacation packager TUI, where she was chief marketing officer for Ireland and the U.K.
McAlister, who joins Cunard in August, will lead the company during what Carnival UK president Sture Myrmell calls a "vital time of expansion" for the brand.
McAlister will take over oversight of Cunard's operations for Myrmell, who is currently serving as president of Cunard as well as Carnival UK.
The hiring comes as Cunard plans to debut the Queen Anne in May 2024. It had been expected to begin sailing this year but has faced delays due to the pandemic.
While popular among both British and American cruisers, the line is looking to grow its volume of U.S. guests.
