The 54th annual World Series of Poker will return to the Horseshoe (formerly Bally's) and Paris Las Vegas May 30 to July 18.

With a record-breaking $347.9 million total prize pool last year, there were 197,626 entrants from more than 100 countries. The Main Event was the second-largest field in the history of live poker, with an $80.8 million prize pool from 8,663 entrants.

The 2023 Main Event will once again feature four starting days from which to choose -- July 3 to 6. Players also have the option to buy in to the Day 2s on July 7 or 8.

The full schedule will be announced early next year at WSOP.com, but many tournaments have already been confirmed. Online tournament preregistration will open on the site after all events have been determined and approved by regulators.

The first World Series of Poker was played at the original Horseshoe Las Vegas in 1970. It moved to Bally's and Paris in 2022 after 17 years at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Reduced room rates are available across Caesars Entertainment's Las Vegas resorts during the tournament. Guests who book early can secure special rates by visiting Caesars.com and using the booking code WSOP23. Rates are based on availability and are subject to change.
