Accor plans to open hotels in Madagascar and Zimbabwe under the Mantis brand, the first for the Mantis brand in both countries. The Mantis Collection is a hospitality company recognized for its commitment to preserving its surrounding communities, wildlife and the environment.

The Mantis Soanambo Hotel & Spa on Nosy Boraha in Madagascar is set to open in May. Located in the southwest of the island, the new 48-room oceanfront hotel will be the first international hospitality brand in Nosy Boraha. While it is the first Mantis on island, it is the third Accor hotel there, joining the Hotel Ibis Antananarivo Ankorondrano and Novotel Convention and Spa Antananarivo.

The island, also known as Ile Sainte-Marie, is 45 minutes by air from Antananarivo, via Tsaradia airlines, the domestic division of Air Madagascar. The hotel will offer a bar and restaurant as well as two swimming pools with views of the ocean.

Accor also signed its first hotel in Zimbabwe under the portfolio of Mantis Collection: the Mbano Manor Hotel Victoria Falls by Mantis.

The Mbano Manor Hotel opened in 2020 and comprises 19 private luxury suites, including a presidential villa. It will be rebranded under the Mantis Collection by June.
