Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas will use $31 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for renovations.
The money will replace aging infrastructure in baggage claims, enhancing the capacity, security, reliability, energy efficiency and sustainability of the baggage-handling system, airport officials said.

The airport "is seeing record numbers of passengers, and this historic funding I secured in the bipartisan infrastructure law will improve the travel experience of the millions who come through Las Vegas each year," Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., said.
Work on the improvements is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, officials said.
"These funds will allow us to modernize our baggage-handling systems, allowing for more efficient air travel and an enhanced customer experience as Las Vegas continues its evolution as the sports and entertainment capital of the world," said Rosemary Vassiliadis, Clark County director of aviation.
