Southwest operates more than 4,000 daily departures during peak season and flies to 101 destinations in the U.S. and 10 other countries. The carrier's 2019 highlight was its launch of Hawaii service in March. Southwest currently has Hawaii gateways in Oakland and San Jose, Calif., but has also announced service launches for early next year from San Diego and Sacramento, Calif. Southwest announced in August that it will offer full content through the GDSs.
