One of Las Vegas' most historical performance spaces has a new name and millions of dollars of enhancements as it continues to host music and comedy stars.
Bakkt Theater (formerly Zappos Theater) at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino initially opened in 1976 as the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts. Updated artist dressing rooms and other aesthetic improvements have been added in the past year, such as enhanced audio and technical capabilities and the ability to have multiple seating configurations to create different vibes for different shows.
Artists with residencies include:
• The Chicks: Dates from May 3, 5, 6, 10, 12 and 13.
• Jeff Dunham: May 28, July 16, Sept. 3, Oct. 22, Nov. 12 and Dec. 8.
• Keith Urban: June 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28 and 30; July 1; and Nov. 1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18
